Hello! My name is Dallas Horne.
First, and foremost, I am a family man. I am married to my best friend, Brittany. We have 3 beautiful daughters, Dilynn, Bennett, and Collins. I am lucky to be a part of these amazing girl’s lives and help them grow in to strong and confident women. A task I do not take lightly!
My leadership style mirrors my approach with my own family. I care deeply about the people I come in to contact with and take full responsibility for the people under my care. I believe in confession, apologizing, and reconciliation. I believe leaders, like parents, should listen first, speak maybe, and must always exercise patience.
I hold degrees from colleges, which I am grateful for, but those are not the most important pieces of who I am. What has helped me move forward in life, and believe I am valuable, are the relationships from other leaders who have invested time and energy to help me grow. Who saw some thing in me, before I knew it was even there.
I have been a substitute teacher, coach, and high school teacher. I was an assistant principal, principal, and now am in an instructional role in central office at an independent school district.
My goal with this website is to share my experiences and thoughts from leadership in education. It comes from a variety of sources, often times found within the intricacies of my daily life. Sometimes the lessons learned are from parenting 3 children 6 and under. Sometimes the lessons learned are from the discipline of healthy living. Whatever the source, my hope is that you find value from time spent here.
I believe in education. I believe in relationships. I believe in you!
